Volunteers Needed!!

At this time, our volunteer opportunities include the following:

More About Our Foster Care Program

Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue routinely rescues dogs who would be euthanized at rural and area shelters that destroy pets in an effort to control population. This is usually due to lack of space, but sometimes this happens to dogs with treatable medical conditions, like heartworm, or age. As a foster parent, you would be helping a dog in need and even making space available at the shelter, saving yet another life!

Without a shelter to house our dogs, we rely solely on our Foster Care Program to save lives. We are looking for all kinds of caring, compassionate individuals, 21 and over, willing to open up their heart and home to a canine in need. As an all-breed rescue, we make every effort to place only dogs who you feel comfortable with into your care, whether senior, adult or even puppies!

Not sure fostering is for you? Read what some of our foster parents have written about the fostering experience:

More About Fund-Raising:

Fund-raising is particularly important to us. It is our lifeblood. As a registered 501( c)(3) charity that is funded entirely by private contributions and receives no government funding, we need funds to pay for vet care, food, and other needed supplies for our dogs. Our organization just cannot survive without it.

If you have a bubbly, outgoing personality, love animals as well as interacting with people, we would love to hear from you. We have several repeat events during the year that are fun to work. Our repeat events include: Uncorked for Canines Wine Tasting, Cosmic Bowling, Sink Some Putts for Needy Mutts Golf Outing and several Texas Hold'em Tournaments. That's just to name a few.

Can you spare some time to help coordinate, plan or work at an event? Or do you have a marketing and/or sales background that you'd like to put to good use for the dogs? If so, we'd love to hear from you and discuss available opportunities. Please fill out the volunteer application below and contact Tracey via email at falleticht@yahoo.com if you're interested in becoming part of the Waggin' Tails team!
